House Fire - 8943 Worcester Highway

At 2323 hours, the Berlin Fire Company was alerted for a house fire. Newark was alerted for a tanker to fill the box alarm. Engine 604 was first to arrive with smoke showing from the 2nd floor of sides A, B and C. Assistant Chief Bryon Trimble established "Worcester Highway Command." Initials crews led by Captain Eric Budd and Assistant Chief Duane Phillips located fire in the walls on the first and second floor of the residence, with extension into the attic space. All fires were brought under control quickly and command held units for overhaul. Newark provided an engine to standby at Berlin Fire Headquarters. Worcester County Fire Marshal's 2 and 4 investigated the fire. Units cleared the scene at 0115 hours.
