MOCK ACCIDENT - Stephen Decatur High School

On Thursday April 24th and Friday April 25th a Mock Accident was conducted at the Stephen Decatur High School. Sponsored by SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) in order to help make students aware of the possibilities and consequences of their actions when they choose to drink and drive. With Prom just around the corner, SADD sponsored two accidents; with the assistance of the Berlin Fire Company, Ocean Pines Fire Company, Ocean City FIRE/EMS, Maryland State Police, Worcester County Sherriffs Office, and Holloway’s Funeral Home, two different yet similar accidents were reconstructed. This was to show not only what happens at the scene of the accident, but the aftermath of the accident and how it affects not only the people involved but the community as a whole.
