Three Crashes in 10 hours - Rt 113 north of Downs Road

The Berlin Fire Company had a busy day on Friday, September 24th. The day started off with a crash on Stephen Decatur Highway just north of BFC Station 2. EMS arrived advised a 2 vehicle crash with one patient trapped. The crew of Engine 604 freed the trapped patient. EMS transported 2 patients to PRMC, priority 2. Shortly after lunch, Berlin was dispatched for another crash on Racetrack Road in front of Ocean Downs racetrack. Units arrived on scene to find a 2 vehicle crash, both vehicles in the ditch. EMS transported 1 patient to PRMC. At approximately 1445 hours, Worcester Central dispatched Newark to a motor vehicle crash at Route 113 just north of Downs Road. Upon arrival, EMS confirmed one patient trapped and requested Berlin respond to assist with extrication. A second EMS crew from Berlin responded and transported 1 patient to PRMC. The crew of Engine 604 assisted Newark units with extrication of the trapped patient. The patient was transported to PRMC by MSP Trooper 4.
