House Fire - 8017 Shire Drive

At 1514 hours, the Berlin Fire Company was alerted for a residential structure fire at 8017 Shire Drive. Newark was also alerted for a tanker to respond. Assistant Chief Engineer Bill Scott was first to arrive, reporting a single story residence with smoke showing. The crew of Engine 604 placed a 150' 1 3/4" bumperline in service and quickly extinguished the fire. Crews remained on the scene for overhaul and to assist the fire marshal's office.
