Outside fire turns into a working garage fire - Dinges Road

At approximately 10:00 am on the above date the BFC was alerted for a outside fire. Apparatus was on the street within minutes and were advised that the caller reported smoke coming from a garage. The incident was upgraded to a residential box assignment which added Newark, Showell and Ocean City to the call. Command 6 arrived and reported smoke showing from a 1 story garage. Engine 604 arrived and dropped a supply line at the street for Tanker 6 to pick up and stretched a 200' 1 3/4" handline and quickly extinguished the fire. Command held the Berlin units and placed all others in service. The Worcester County FM's office was on the scene for the investigation. 650 (Chief Lewis) had the Dinges Road Command.
