Residential Structure Fire

At 14:31 hrs., BFC was dispatched to a reported house on fire on
Sheppards Crossing Rd.  Initial reports stated that a cigarette had been disposed of onto the roof above a porch attached to the home and fire was spreading into the residence.  E-608, Tower-6, Ladder-6, Tanker-6, and Command-6 w/ 651 responded.  E-608 arrived and its crew advance a 350' x 1.75" line to the 2nd and 3rd floors and quickly extinguished the fire.  Tower-6 and its crew assumed all outside vent and roof operations.  Units from Showell, Willards, and Pittsville Fire departments were on scene as well to assist.  Extensive overhaul operations kept crews on scene for approximately 1 hour to ensure no further extension.
