Structure Fire - 312 Flower Street

At 0750 hours on Friday, March 19, 2010, the Berlin Fire Company was alerted for a house fire at 312 Flower Street. Shortly after the initial dispatch, Assistant Chief Bill Tilghman arrived on the scene, reporting a 2 story residence with fire showing from sides A and B. Chief Tilghman established command and requested an additional engine added to the box alarm for R.I.T. Ocean Pines was alerted for the R.I.T. assignment. Engine 604 arrived on location and stretched the 200 foot 1 3/4" crosslay into side D of the residence and began an aggressive interior attack. Units operating on the scene quickly brought the fire under control and command held the box alarm to units already on the scene. Crews were released to return to service by 0930 and command was terminated. The fire was investigated by the Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office.
