Residential Structure Fire - 11100 Crusader Lane, Unit 102

At 1941 hours on October 14, 2010, the Berlin Fire Company was alerted for a residential structure fire at 11100 Crusader Lane. While units were responding, Worcester Central advised reports of a kitchen fire with flames visible and that the homeowner was still inside trying to extinguish the fire. Upon arrival of Engine 604, a 3 story multi-family dwelling was found with nothing evident. Crews investigated unit 102 and confirmed that the homeowner had extinguished the fire. Crews checked for extension and the situation was placed under control. Assistant Chief Eric Budd had Crusader Lane Command.
