MVC followed by Reported Building Fire - Harrison Road/ Lake View Lane

At 1402 hours, the Berlin Fire Company was alerted for a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the area of 10199 Harrison Road. Initial reports from dispatch advised a single vehicle off the road into the trees. First arriving EMS crews confirmed a single vehicle into the trees with the driver still in the vehicle. Engine 604 arrived and Assistant Chief Eric Budd established command. EMS evaluated the patient, who refused transport. Command released all units to return to service as ready. Shortly before 1500 hours, the Ocean Pines Fire Department responded to the Ocean Pines branch of the Post Office located on Lake View Lane. Initial crews investigating reported smoke in the structure. The incident commander requested a first alarm commercial box be transmitted for smoke in a commercial structure. This brought the request for an engine and ladder from Berlin. Ladder 6 responded with a staffing of 5. Shortly after response, command advised that have responding units continue in and to hold all others in station. Ladder 6 arrived and assisted with investigation on the roof of the structure. Crews isolated the problem to a fault HVAC system. Command released all units when they were ready.
