Berlin Town Hall--Public Restrooms Fire - William Street
Thursday, February 21, 2013
Berlin Fire Company responded to the public restrooms owned by the Town of Berlin on William Street for fire in a wall with smoke extending into the Berlin Police Deparment. Crews responded with an engine, rescue, and tower and were assisted by an engine from Showell as part of the box alarm assignments. Crews found workers were cutting a cast iron pipe during the remodel and sparks went into an adjacent wall igniting it. The wall was opened for investigation and extinguishment and smoke removal from the police department.
