House fire on Carey Road.

Firefighters and EMS responded to 10016 Carey Road at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Smoke was found coming from the attic of the home; Asst. Chief Brandon Bailey assumed command while fighters from Berlin Fire Company and Ocean Pines Fire Dept quickly extinguished fire stopping from further causing damage. Interior crews founds two family dogs inside of the residence, One of the dogs sadly perished as a result of the fire. Worcester County Fire Marshal's Office Fire determined that the "fire was accidental and began in a clothes dryer in the laundry room". No other injuries were reported.
