Combine and Field Fire - 8456 Circle Road

At 1441 hours, the Berlin Fire Company was dipatched for a field fire involving a combine at 8456 Circle Road. Units arrived on the scene to find a combine, well involved with extension to the field. Chief Derrick Simpson established the command. The crew of Engine 604 placed a handline in service and quickly knocked the fire. A separate fire in a hay bailer was also extinguished. Units were placed in service at 1530 hours. Brush trucks from Willards and Showell were requested to the scene. Ocean Pines provided an engine to standby at Berlin Fire Headquarters for the duration of the fire.
