MVC involving hazardous materials - Worcester Hwy at Deer Park Drive

On the above date at 0910 the BFC was dispatched to the above location for a MVC with injuries. Prior to arrival, units were advised that some type of chemical was leaking. Engine 604 arrived and confirmed the report. Worcester County FM 4 was also on the scene. Command requested a response from the Worcester County Hazmat Team. Upon the arrival of the Hazmat team, crews observed 80+ gallons of hydrochloric acid solution in the trailer and vehicle with several containers leaking. Hazmat crews isolated the leak and rendered the situation safe. One person was transported to the hospital. Units on the scene: (Engine 604, Tanker 6, FP 6, Hazmat 1, FM 4, Paramedic 3 and Showell Paramedic 1) B. Trimble (692) was the IC.
